(AP)-An Air Force helicopter that flew down from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base at Dayton, Ohio, rescued an injured man from the top of a water tower at nearby Fort Thomas Tuesday. Curtis C. Marshall, 39, painting firm workman from Indianapolis, was reported in good condition at the-Iaw enforcement of the Sunday Blue Laws unless public sentiment develops to warrant such enforcement. The mayor said the Ohio Legis-ture has not eliminated many of the inconsistencies in the Blue Laws, and that presents a problem. This band will approach the ideal in instrumentation and will contain, for example, three contrabass clarinets, five bass clarinets, 12 French horns, and 24 B-flat clarinets. The Shadyside musicians will be guests Saturday evening in the homes of Woodville band members and will attend Church services on Sunday morning before leaving for Shadyside. Martin is a native ol Wheeling, W. and a graduate wrist in a fall inside the empty tower. The Air Force helicopter was called after police and fire officials found they could not lower Marshall from the tower. Marshall was strapped in an invaid bag which the helicopter plucked from the tower. Investigators said Marshall apparently fell after a wire ladder rung broke.

These students, all from the upper four grades, In addition to 80 in the Junior high band and fifty in each of the fifth and sixth grades, comprise the instrumental music department of the Shadyside schools. Pre-band instruments are taught in the fourth grade.
During football season a march ing band of eighty-eight player and six majorettes perform at all football games led by a male drum major. Concert music, however is stressed throughout year and two rehearsals each week are devoted to this, while some of the marching practice done outside of school hours. Later, a symphonic band of 83 or 90 is selected to perform in contests and concerts. This band has had an exceptional recortl, having been awarded superior ratings in every district contest over a span of sixteen consecutive years. During this period the band has also received numeroua superior ratings in state finals.
I June band has been selected to participate in First Annual Symposium for band conductors at Duquesne university in Pittsburgh. Pa. The program will include Borderline March, Tchaikowsky's Andante Cantabile, The Ballet Music from 'Prince Igor', and Tailgate Ramble by the Shadyside band. The Woodville Band will play Concord Overture, West Side Story, Port Au Prince, and Cloud Busters march. The combined groups will present Crusade For Freedom, Welsh Folk Suite, Forest Splendor, and Bossa Nova.

It was just 25 years ago that the famed actor learned he afflicted with rectal cancer. Doctors wanted to remove the cancer immediately, but he refused. Instead, he submitted to a colon bypass operation, and the cancer was treated with radiation.
After six months he was pronounced cured. Another operation restored organizing tennis, golf and bowling tournaments, an art society, etc. "I thik it's wonderful that she has an outlet for her energies," he said, "because I lead a rathw easy life myself." He rises at a leisurely hour, reads the newspapers, answers mail, tends to his investments and plays golf. He tries to limit participation in Palm Springs' ever-growng social life. The resolution, adopted without a recorded vote, asks the President to reduce imports of residual fuel oil, a burnable substance which can be used in place of coal for industrial purposes. The plea to the President was sponsored by Sens. Edmund Sar-gus, D-Belmont, and Robert Zel-lar, R-Muskingum, both of whom represent coal-producing areas. Sargus told the Senate residual oil is what remains of petroleum after gasoline, kerosene and light oils are extracted. The St.
