A Service Organization

The mission of BLOKES is to provide support and assistance to our neighbors and contribute to a sense of well being within the community. We promote community interaction and have some fun along the way.

This group of gentlemen provide assistance to Berkeley Lake residents. BLOKES provides a means for its members to gather, socialize and provide support services to the community and have FUN "Jousting on the Lake"!

This organization is not tied to any specific area but uses all Berkeley Lake homeowner's associations as a conduit for communicating information to their respective members and engaging them in BLOKES activities.

A Variety of Services

• Assist securing day laborers or teenagers for yard maintenance.
• Provide transportation and/or monitoring of day laborers for elderly or single residents.
• Engage local teanagers seeking work for lawn maintenance or other chores.
• Help when interviewing contractors, securing estimates, and reviewing completed work for elderly or single residents.
• Provide support services for community events.
• Support Earth Day by collecting material for individuals who do not have appropriate means of transport.
• Provide support, guidance, or other assistance for community service iniatives.
• Neighborhood Watch
• Boater Safety Discussions
• Boy Scouts

In Honor of our Veterans

In September 2008, the BLOKES proudly unveiled a beautiful engraved stone in honor of our veterans. The stone is located in the BLHA picnic area and was designed by Britt Collins. Thanks Britt!
